A chorus of hopefuls...

Like hundreds of others, a few days ago I spent my morning sitting on the steps of the Palladium waiting for the 'Chorus Line' audition. A big waste of time?... yes. But an experience none the less. To even attempt a clean double pirrouette in front of the original Connie Wong and David Grindrod was wishful thinking at best. I have to say it was a strange experience, the audition was just like being in the musical, all the many hopefuls lined up under the bright lights with our bags at the side of the stage waiting for us to totter out of the spotlight, embarrassed by a poor demonstration of 'clean' double turn. Did anyone make it through? Or are we right in thinking that it was probably already cast before the open call even happened...

  1. Georgie interesting question at the end of your blog... and yes - using experience is the name of the game. I wonder if anyone else attended from BAPP Arts... By the way - have you see the powerpoint on my blog that shows what Corinda got up to at the sumer Paralympics - it is on slideshare so should be easy to view - have a look and comment if it is okay.

    1. I have just looked at it. I really like the way you have linked the coarse with the olympics. It is true that team work always helps and with support people can achieve a lot more than they may have thought. I come from Aylesbury, the home of the Guttman Centre where the paralympics was born and we watched as the flame passed through the town. It was amazing to see half the town follow the torch, with police escorts, through the usually busy roads.
